Het programma Japan Restored bevat\u00a0zelden vertoonde films als Mizoguchi\u2019s\u00a0<em>Sansho the Bailiff<\/em>\u00a0en Yasujir\u014d Ozu\u2019s\u00a0<em>Floating Weeds<\/em>, die bewijzen dat er nog veel te ontdekken is in de Japanse cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Crucified Lovers\u00a0<\/em>is een van de meesterwerken uit\u00a0de naoorlogse\u00a0carri\u00e8re van Mizoguchi.\u00a0De vrouw van een zakenman wordt beschuldigd van overspel met een bediende.
