S.V Ons Eiland (“Our Island”) is one of the many Playground Associations in Leiden.
S.V. Ons Eiland has been established since 18th of july 1946 and is one of the playgrounds with the longest history.
The playground is run by 100% volunteers and cosponsored by the Municipality of Leiden and the Leiden Playground Association.
The admission fee is only €0.50 per visit per child, or €15.00 for the whole year per family (membership).

In summer, ice cream, candy, drinks and small snacks are sold from ” De Paddestoel” (The Mushroom).
The playground is for children up to 12 years old, with a separate playground area for the youngest up to 4 years old.
The community building of the Zeeheldenbuurt (Naval heroes district) is located on the playground premises with several activities for children as well as adults and elderly. For example every two weeks a Children Crafts Afternoon is organised by two volunteer mums (admission to cover material costs is €0.50 per child).

every workday & Saturday from 10h00 – 17h00; Sunday 13h00 – 17h00.
